As part of our Women In Classic Horror Month celebrations we have revived our CREEPY CLASSIC HORROR TRAILERS series to bring you a trailer for early female-centric horror movie Dracula’s Daughter (1936). A sequel to Universal’s iconic Dracula (1931), Edward Van Sloan returns as Professor Von Helsing with an otherwise all-new cast fronted by Gloria Holden as Dracula’s daughter, Countess Marya Zaleska. Dracula’s Daughter was considered controversial at the time due to the overt lesbian implications in the script as well as in some of the original advertising for the film.
